Station U + O

Station U+O sits in D.C.’s Shaw neighborhood, once home
to Black Broadway, Howard University, and a renaissance
of Black music, arts, and scholarship. Our concept - Marks
of a Triumphant Crest - celebrated this legacy through
crescendos of sound and demarcations of excellence.
Cascading coil drapery evoked the rise of a musical swell,
wallcoverings carried rhythm, and ornamented millwork
danced with light. Every gesture honored Shaw’s
triumphant history of Black excellence while
amplifying it into the present.
